GLS TANKS APPLY

Where do glass-fused-to-steel tanks apply?

GLStanks are glass-lined steel tanks that are also known as glass-fused-to-steel tanks which are made by the companies in terms of protecting against environmental conditions as single steel seems to be very weak to environmental conditions. The main reason behind fusing glass with steel is to upgrade the assets of the latter. After fusing the steel and gas together, the strength of the material increases ultimately, the ph value for alkaline solutions expands and the conflict of abrasion pumps up.
GLS (glass-fused-to-steel) which is a porcelain enamel is a single source strong which is integrated porcelain enamel and steel material fused together at over 1500° F making a hard inert inorganic coating that doesn’t have any need of painting. There are some companies that make premium glass-fused-to-steel and making it best in the entire tank market. The internal of the glass-fused-to-steel tanks has vitrium coating technology which makes the titanium oxide the toughest glass available in the market. Vitrium is one of the best glass-fused-to-steel processes for bolted storage tanks that have a history of more than 69 years. Along vitrium, Edge-coat II is another best process that makes best steel-to-fused glasses.

GLS TANKS PROCESS

Processing of glass to fused steel tanks

  • The glass fused to steel tank panels is lined outside and inside with the glass enamel. The enamel is a smooth, shiny and solid silicate cover.
  • It is amalgamated in a special furnace that has a temperature between 780 and 900 degree Celsius. The cylinder (steel rounded) shell of the tank is made from the two layered glass fused sheets which are coated from both sides.
  • The sheets are connected with special high-grade bolts and potted by persistently elastic sealants (silicone's).
  • The connecting shell and material accessories are prepared with surface treatment.
  • The glass fused tanks are used to collect and store loses material and water.
  • The forte of tanks can be approved if they are approved and can be used as a water storage tank at a big level such as industrial water storage tank.
  • There are so many companies that make tanks that are primary building elements of environmental technological facilities like fire fighting water storage, anaerobic digester tank and wastewater treatment.

Characteristics of glass-fused-to-steel tanks

1Glass-lined steel tanks serve for about and more than 40 years.
2. They are FM global approved.
3. Abrasion and chemical resistance is quite a much high.
4. Ecologically safe.
5. A pre-built tank is easily relocatable.
A glass fused to steel is the premium and amazing technology in the entire market of tanks that are serving for a long time. The factory-applied silica glass coating on harvestore, aqua-store, nutristore and slurry-store forms of tanks are hard, inert barrier for outside and inside surfaces of tanks to protect against corrosion and weather. The combination of glass thickness and quality offers the assurance of successful working of tanks for a long time which protect it from any weather condition and corrosion.
